Nature, 12/27/13

December 27, 2013.....Friday.
Why is it so hard to just let things be,
To let nature alone? Why is MAN
Polluting Everything?
From the air we breathe
To the depth of the sea.
Sperm whale lands in Seattle, dies,
Gardening plastic from Trader Joe's
Gardeners, the reason.
And that is just today.
The oceans are full.
Plastics, poisons, and more.
When will it stop. Please stop it. Please.

December 26, 2013.....Thursday

Christmas darted, passed by.
Cannon shot, left me, spinning.
Around and round; a storming cloud.
Of: food, drink, gifts, work, dishes,
Of: family, fun, and fond memories,

Now, life is the recurring memories.
Those faces, voices, sights, sounds, signals.
Incorporated thoughts of past and present.
Dreams, work, play, more work, sleep,
Joined, again, creating more dreams.

Head Cold on the Hoodoo

December 18, 2013, Wednesday.
She was generous, that dental hygienist.
Sharing the sick of the season.
Head feels the size of a small electric car
on auto pilot.
Lungs filled with flem, coughing, fever.
Cause and effect; one should think.
One should think About going out with ills.
She was generous that dental hygienist.

A Mother's Birthday

She was laid to rest a month before her 47th year.
She was greatly missed.
4 children, a husband, a father and one granchild.
A truck ran a yield sign and took her from her family,
December 17th marks the birth-date of my mother.

Another day on the Hoodoo.

Thursday December 12, 2013.

Cleaning, woman's lot in life.
Never a favorite, always present.
Clean, enjoy, Poof, gone.
Clutter, bugs, dirt, creep in.
Dream house, a drain,
In the middle of one large room.
Sitting amongst the flowers,
A better spent occupation.
Smelling those flowers,
Walking, running, sleeping,
Dreaming of days spent cleaning.

Wednesday in December

Wednesday, 12/11/13.

Dancers on the screen moving, waving, to the rhythm of the music.
No matter the bad plot,  dialogue, over-acting.
One is drawn to the music, the dancers on the screen
They save the very bad, they save the show.
Lots of familiar faces on the screen. Silly movie that it is.
Real fur coats, the style of the day....1950's.
One can hope it gets better. One can hope.
Moves back then were not, seriously, bad.
Movies back then were trying to entertain.

Movies today are seriously bad when bad.
Movies now are seriously good when good.

Sunday, Sweet Sunday............

Winter escapes and runs wild,
Wild, I tell you, with its cold.
I see out the window, that all, seems, fine.
Opening the door, hand sticking to the metal,
The air ripping my face, I venture out,
Trusting that I can do a thing or two.

But I can not.
Biting chill, creeping beneath clothes, causing one to lose, breath.
Moving quickly to the garage, I do a thing and return quickly to the house.
The balm of warm air greets, wraps, comforts, all at once.
A wonderful blessing on a cold winter day.

Cold Outside.

Saturday, Dec 7, 2013..........

1 to 2 degrees. The sun is out now but it is still about 5degrees. Winter is here.

So cold that everything feels cold.

So cold the smells have lost their smell.
So cold the food has lost its taste.
So cold the sun has icicles hanging from its spots.
So cold that the owl whooooos and I do not hear it.

Friday

Friday, December 6, 2013.

Feeling Itchy.
Spiders, crawling around my ear,
Talking to me, egging me on,
Saying, "Don't sit on my byway Bitch"
I say, "Die spider before you bite me".
I have been bitten by spiders before.
I don't like to kill them.
They collect others in their webs.

 Across the State Line.
A day on the road, cold, small space.
Arting, alone, with, without, other.
A day spent on the road, fast cars,
White mountains, icy waters,
Turkey scattered fields,  road deer.
Montana, loosely, watched.

December 4, 2013, Tuesday.
My Holiday Season Greeting on handmade cards: But first my Xmas Dolls.

Greetings for the 2013 Holiday,
The year flows out with the cold of winter.
The glow of the season makes for its own warmth,
Sometimes helped with a warm fire or mood.
One works and produces for the world at a glance,
And often chance, one catches a ride, a journey,
Other worlds only promises of pleasures.
Perhaps only dreams of pasts and futures.
Live for now and the world lives with you.
May your journey in 2014 make for some adventure.
May all be healthy, peaceful, charitable and kind.
Sending good wishes to those at your house from mine.
